Headphone upgrade...

Alot of people got these sony mdr-7506's cause everyone else said it was the "standard". Yeah most studios and cats you see usin cameras and all got these. they arent really that great haha.

I just had to replace these joints; one of the earphones just gave out. I have no clue why. Maybe im going deaf and i turn them up too loud.

These joints have great high and mids but little lows. On top of that, they are closed headphones.


I had to get some new ones fast, living in an apartment really makes you rely on your headphones for mixing when its too late to turn up those monitors. and i definitely wasnt going back to those crappy ass audio technica headphones. (those joints with the earphone cushioning falling apart on them...yeah you had them too)

Ended up going 8th street music (anyone know why they act like they dont want you there?....) and I picked up these AKG k240's. Semi Open headphones. I heard a huge improvement when I would reference my beats using these headphones, then comparing them to the monitors. Definitely alot better for mixing! so check em out.

if you are on a small budget and dont want to spend over 200 for some headphones....here you go

my only peeve with these is....they dont come with a coiled cord! ill have to buy a coiled one as an extra accessory but running over your cord while rolling around in the chair is not hot...
